DANCE COMPANY AUDITIONS
Each summer there is an opportunity to audition for Chorus Line Dance Company. Students auditioning will participate in a six week class designed to learn and practice a combination that will be used for an audition at the end of the process. On audition day, students will perform for a set of judges. Please see below for more information on what to wear to your audition.
WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR AUDITION
Ballet
Attire: black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes
Hair: neat, slicked back bun
Tap
Attire: black leotard, black shorts, tan tights, tap shoes
Hair: neat, slicked back ponytail OR bun
Jazz
Attire: black leotard, black shorts, tan tights, turners or jazz booties
Hair: neat, slicked back ponytail OR bun
Contemporary
Attire: black leotard, black shorts, tan tights (optional), turners OR black sports bra, black shorts, tan tights (optional), turners
Hair: neat, slicked back, middle part bun
RECITAL PRODUCTION AUDITIONS
Each fall there is an opportunity for specified dance companies to try out for Junior Kickline, Senior Kickline, and the Mini Theater and Senior Theater numbers. On audition day, students will learn a short combination and perform for a set of judges, including our studio director and both of our dance directors.
In order to audition for a special, kickline, or theater, dance company members must be enrolled in at least three dance class and enrolled in a ballet class, in accordance with the dance company guidelines.
