Roseann Cousin
Roseann Cousin is the Executive Director and Owner of Chorus Line Dance Studios for the past 36 years. Her philosophy is to provide a positive approach to dance instruction for her students using praise, encouragement and love as the greatest teaching tools. This positive approach to teaching has produced thousands of technically advanced students with a positive self-image. Miss Roseann’s students enjoy the challenges of mastering new and difficult steps and radiate enthusiasm as they experience the joy of their accomplishments.

Miss Roseann has served on the Dance Educators of America staff as Master Class Workshop Teacher, and also as a judge for Dance Educators of America. She is a certified instructor through Dance Educators of America and has taught at a multitude of dance conventions for the Boston Dance Teachers Association, Dance Educators of America and Dance Olympus in Las Vegas. She has performed with Jerry Vale, Tom Jones and several other acts in New York, Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She studied dance as a professional at the Broadway Dance Center, Phil Black’s Studio & Luigi Dance Center with Frank Hatchett, Charles Kelly and Luigi. Becoming the mother of a daughter who was deaf, suddenly shed a new light on Miss Roseann’s career as a dance educator. The gift of learning American Sign Language brought a whole new dimension to her studio and to our community. Incorporating the beautiful language of sign with dance became a signature at the end of each annual performance.

In 1984, the Chorus Line Dance Studio introduced its first a dance company and through the years it grew to include the Elite, Senior, Young Senior, Teen, Junior, Petite, Starlette, Junior Starlette and Shining Star Dance Companies. These dance companies have thrilled many audiences with their gift of dance and American Sign Language. They have performed many times at DisneyWorld in Orlando, Florida and have performed within the Long Island and local community at Relay for Life, St. James Day, the Miller Place Christmas Tree Lighting, homecoming parades, Six Flags Great Adventure, Long Island Ducks Stadium, Hershey Park and many others.

Miss Roseann’s wealth of experience and passion for dance has benefited her multitude of students. She inspires her staff and students to be the best that they can be in the dance studio and in their lives. Miss Roseann believes that the gift of dance is an art that changes one’s life for the better, regardless of skill level or career goals. It instills confidence, poise, grace, dedication, wonderful memories, life-long friendships and the thrill of reaching goals through hard work. Miss Roseann is very proud of all of her students and enjoys watching them grow through the years of as part of the CLDS family.
Dawn Madden
Dawn has been a dancer since the age of 2 ½ and a part of the Chorus Line family since she was 8 years old. She is the Dance Director at Chorus Line and instructs the teen, young senior, senior, advanced senior and elite company dancers. She teaches full time in the styles of tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and technique. Dawn’s passion for dance led her from dancer to teacher and helping her students become the best performers they can be is her main objective. Her students compete at the regional and national levels annually and have performed at Disney World and several community events. Dawn’s students consistently win top awards at competition and many have continued their dance careers after graduation from CLDS on college and professional dance teams throughout the United States. Her innovative choreography has been recognized at many local and national competitions and was featured in a music video and Live Hair Trade Show. Dawn loves teaching and being a Dance Director and is grateful to have the opportunity to touch the lives of so many students through the years.
Jenine Naples

Jenine Naples is a Dance Director here at Chorus Line. She was also a student at Chorus Line Dance Studio since she was six years old. Miss Jenine is a  dance company instructor -- teaching jazz, tap & hip-hop. Jenine is a graduate of St. Joseph's College where she earned her bachelor's degree in Child Study. She has 3 daughters who all dance here at Chorus Line and love that it’s their home away from home! Her teaching philosphy is to challenge your mind and body while keeping a smile on your face.

Jenine Naples
Marissa Rymer has spent her entire life at Chorus Line Dance Studio. As the daughter of owner, Roseann Cousin, she has participated in all aspects of CLDS. She began as a dancer at age two and continued to dance and compete with our dance companies through her high school graduation. While in college, Marissa began learning the business side of CLDS and soon after college graduation, she earned the title of Assistant Business Manager.

In addition to her CLDS business skills, Marissa is a talented certified cosmetologist, hairdresser and colorist who runs her own hair salon business. The beautiful tradition of ending our year end show with a sign language performance began when it was discovered that Marissa was born deaf. Marissa’s dedication and desire to help others has led her to her position as a Teacher Assistant at the Cleary School for the Deaf where she continues each day to inspire her students to work hard and follow their dreams.

Currently, Marissa is the Business Manager at Chorus Line, and uses her managerial talents daily to benefit this very successful studio.
Andrea Madden
Miss Andrea has been an instructor at Chorus Line Dance Studio since 1996. She started dancing at 11 years old and has been dancing ever since. Over the years she has taught various levels of dance from preschool to adult classes. She has experience in teaching tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop. In addition to teaching dance, she holds a Bachlors Degree in Business Administration and spent several years working in the business field. Putting her business career on hold to raise her four sons, she was blessed with being able to continue doing what she loves, teaching dance. Miss Andrea is extremely grateful for the opportunity to share her love of dance with her students.

April Buzzanca

Miss April Buzzanca started her dancing journey at Chorus Line when she was 11 years old. She was teaching for 15 years before taking an 8 year hiatus to have and raise her two children, Madison and Alexander. In 2009, she came back to teach at Chorus Line. Miss April says "Dancing is my passion and I truly enjoy teaching your children".

Miss April would like to share with you a little quote that she loves to share with her students about always having a smile on your face when you dance...
"A Smile is a language everybody understands. It costs nothing but creates much. It happens in a flash but its memory may last a lifetime. Keep smiling!"

Dawn Kollmer

Dawn Kollmer is very happy to be a staff member of Chorus Line Dance Studio. She teaches ballet as well as our youngest dancers. Miss Dawn  has been a part of the Chorus Line Family for the past 21 years and has been a member of the teaching staff for the past six. Miss Dawn has danced since early childhood and was trained  in the Vaganova Method of Ballet.  She studied Elementary Education along with ballet and modern at Marymount College and is currently a Literacy Specialist in the Brentwood School District.  She truly loves teaching at Chorus Line and appreciates having the opportunity to share her love of dance with her students. Miss Dawn believes that dance is a wonderful way to increase confidence and self-esteem, and feels it can make a positive difference in the lives of her students. She always wants her students to have fun while learning and enjoy the beauty of dance!

Wendy Cavanagh
Miss Wendy started dancing at the age of 5 years old and has been with Chorus Line from the day we opened. She enjoys teaching preschool age and younger children tap and jazz. As an adult and mother of 2, Miss Wendy realized that dance has always been a safe place for her and has given her self-confidence in life.
Alison Armbruster

Miss Alison has been dancing, teaching, and choreographing for over 30 years. Initially trained in classical ballet, she is also well versed in modern, musical theater, and ballroom dance. She holds an M.F.A. in dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and subsequently taught 15 years worth of technique and academic dance courses as an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University and Dowling College. She has danced professionally with the European touring companies of West Side Story, Chicago, and Cabaret, and performed at numerous venues throughout the United States as a featured modern dancer with NYC based company Freefall.

Currently, Miss Alison teaches ballroom dance to fourth and fifth graders at participating public and private schools through a residency program called Dancing Classrooms Long Island. As a DCLI Teaching Artist and Educational Liaison, she continues to learn and observe the transformative power of dance. She is thrilled to be teaching ballet at CLDS, and feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such talented, enthusiastic, and kind-hearted students and staff.

Lisa Minetti
Miss Lisa has been dancing since the age of 3. She has studied at Broadway Dance Center and Steps and has performed in different showcases for production companies in New York. She has over 25 years of teaching experience in Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop. In addition to teaching, Miss Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and her 2 children. She feels very lucky to be able to share her passion with her students.

Miss Lisa is the Dance Company instructor for our Miller Place Studio.
Nanette Wallace

Miss Nanette has been a member of the Chorus Line family for 21 years. She is married with 4 children and loves being a dance teacher. Her two daughters, Jamie and Chelsea also have a love for dance and have grown up on the Chorus Line stage. Miss Nanette graduated from L.I.U/C.W. Post with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design. She presently teaches at the St. James Studio.

Miss Nanette teaches students as young as two, but spends most of her hours teaching elementary age dancers. She enjoys teaching Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop and especially enjoys spending her own free time tapping away. She also loves taking and teaching Zumba. She believes that dance is a heart felt passion that comes from within and she lives each day with the motto that “You’re never too old to dance!”

Victoria Frenna

Gabrielle started dancing at Chorus Line when she was 2 years old. The day she walked into the dance room she never looked back. Gabrielle is an original Starlette and has performed and competed on stages all over the east coast including, NYC, Disney World, and Hershey Park. She was awarded Advanced Senior Tap Student Of The Year in her graduating year of 2016. Learning from our amazing directors here at CLDS in dance company, she will be passing on her love of tap, jazz, and hip hop too the students following those footsteps.

After graduating from high school in 2016, she has been attending St. Joseph's College for Secondary Education of Math and looks forward to teaching not only School students throughout her life but also the dance students of Chorus Line. Dance is her passion and she hopes to let other girls see that dance is their passion too as long as you put in your best effort and have fun doing it. The theater number at CLDS has always been her favorite number to participate in. Gabrielle had been offered a handful of lead roles for Chorus Line’s previous theater numbers such as, Dorothy in Wizard of Oz, Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street, and Mufasa in The Lion King. She is very excited to be teaching the theater production this year.

James Guasto

James Guasto hails from Long Island. He has been a professional dancer for over 15 years, gracing stages around the world. He has extensive training in all forms of dance. He has trained with Joffrey Ballet, and with numerous master teachers. He continued his education at SMU's Meadows School of the Arts. Mr. James still continues his performing as a guest artist with several companies. He also is a master teacher, teaching all over the world.

James is excited to be teaching at Chorus Line Dance Studio and to expand our students knowledge and love for dance.

Stephanie Kollmer

After graduating from high school in 2011, Stephanie attended The College of New Jersey where she studied nursing and deaf studies and was a member of the TCNJ Dance Team. She competed at UDA College Dance Team Nationals in Orlando, Florida in the styles of jazz, pom and hip hop and was voted two time MVP by her teammates. Throughout high school and college she pursued her love of technique and contemporary dance through classwork and conventions. While away at school, she enjoyed being able to choreograph for her college dance team in the styles of contemporary and jazz.

Stephanie currently works as a labor and delivery nurse at Stony Brook University Hospital and studies contemporary dance at Broadway Dance Center.
